John has developed a new love for Starbucks Frappuccinos. He loves coffee and has decided that these are his new favorite thing. I am not a fan of the $2.00+ price tag on them, so I decided to see if we could make a Copy Cat Starbucks Frappuccinoย at home. I am really hoping that he will make this instead of picking up a $2.00 drink at the store. This is such an easy copy cat recipe to make at home. ย We had all of the ingredients in the pantry.
CopyCat Starbucks Frappuccino
I can't believe we first shared this Starbucks Frappuccino recipe in January of 2013! Dang!
Now that we are in 2018 our food photography has thankfully improved as has our equipment. Thank goodness! What was great five years ago would definitely not work today! With the growth of Pinterest and the evolution of blogging, there have been many changes to what we post and share.
Thankfully we are still sharing our favorite recipes 9 years after we started this crazy website we had no idea was going to become what it is today.
Have you seen our copycat Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino recipe? We are creeping closer and closer to Fall and pumpkin everything. Are you ready?

Recipe Notes
A few notes from trying this CopyCat Starbucks Frappuccinoย recipe
Flavored coffee did not work well for this recipe. It was way too sweet
Splenda did not work with this recipe. It did not mix in and kind of floated through the drink

Wow what a nice recipe I usually try to follow a recipe through the first time around to give it a fair shot. I usually make a different Frappuccino recipe using instant coffee this time I brewed my own I brewed a bit more than the recipe called for. Iโm glad I did I adjusted my preference I did add a bit of vanilla too. Itโs a great recipe makes a lot for refills.
Dani
This is sooo good! Thank you๐ So much better than spending $3 for a bottle. And I always have to get two. One for my oldest daughter and one for myself. I substituted hazelnut for the vanilla and even she loved it.๐๐
Tammilee
Dani, I am so glad you enjoyed the recipe!

I make my own with splenda. Using Starbucks, yoohoo, our any glass bottle. I pour 4oz cold coffee, 6-7oz room temp water, 2 packets of splenda, and 2oz of French vanilla cold creamer. Shake it vigorously and refrigerate over night and it's ready the morning. I usually make 10 to 12 bottles at a time. I actually like mine better than Starbucks. To make it right now. I crush about half cup of ice and add previous ingredients to my ninja mixer.
Mix and enjoy.

Is the Vanilla Creamer liquid or powered?
Thank you

I seriously can't remember how much rum to add for the spiked version. Plus, it was two kinds of rum, it was a clear rum, and a dark rum. Please send me the details. (of course starting with the ten cup measurement of coffee, and all the other ingredients).
Heather Bree
Powdered or liquid vanilla creamer?
Tim
Where's the mocha?
super thirsty
What do you add for the spiked version of this copy cat frapucchino recipe?
Connie
How about making the vanilla ones
Fran Greer
Thank you for sharing! My hubby loves this. I see in my future making this a lot.

I'm sorry- this may be obvious to some but are you using liquid or powdered coffee creamer in this recipe?
Fresh Ground Coffee in Chicago
No lines and a lot cheaper coffee? Giddy up.

Very good and easy recipe!
When I was about to try it out, I also added some chocolate sauce and it tasted absolutely amazing!
Of course, there are many more (same) recipes out there on the internet but this was the best one I could find ๐
Here's a little tip for John: Make your own ice coffee like you described, pour it into the Starbucks bottle and tell John you 'already bought' his coffee. Indeed, Starbucks is expensive as hell..
Tammilee
Love the tip!

i love this recipe. The only difference I did was I added the sugar and brown sugar in the coffee while is was still hot and added some ice cubes. Then I added a little bit of Hersey's chocolate syrup. Really good recipe love it!
Connie
I make my own Starbucks copycat also; I make my 4-c coffee, I use sweet and low and I use the International vanilla creamer. So pretty much the same as yours minus the brown sugar, but Hey, who doesn't love brown sugar?
Gail Becker
Love your recipe. I did use Splenda,
mixing it in when coffee was hot. Thanks for sharing!
Debbie
Oh!! We're gonna try this one for sure!
Sarah
This looks so bad for you, yet soooo tasty! I really want some now. I must try it!
