To help celebrate National Margarita Day, we are sharing this delicious frozen Mango Margarita Recipe! I am trying to understand why National Margarita Day is on February 22, but I am good with it.
Frozen Mango Margarita Recipe
It is snowy and cold outside, and I am dreaming of planning a return trip to Puerto Vallarta! Today, we partner with Visit Puerto Vallarta to share amazing margarita recipes!
If you have long been a blog follower, you know Puerto Vallarta is one of my favorite vacation destinations! I love the tropical weather, friendly people, fantastic food, and beaches!
There are so many great things to do in Puerto Vallarta that you could easily spend weeks wandering the area and not see it all.
I volunteer to wander the streets of Puerto Vallarta, try all the delicious food, drink all the margaritas, and spend my days in the sun. It is the least I can do ๐
Have you been to Puerto Vallarta? What is your favorite thing to do in the city? One of my favorite things is visiting all the delicious Puerto Vallarta Restaurants!
There is something truly relaxing about sitting along the Malecon watching the water and sunset. I made this Frozen Mango Margarita Recipe to transport myself back to Mexico.
I switched up the drink and used a salted rim instead of the spicy dried pepper flake rim that La Cervecia Union used.
You can easily change up the recipe to fit your preferred spice level. I am a spicy food wimp, so I stuck with salt for my at-home version of this mango margarita. You can also mix sugar and salt if you want a bit of sweetness.
We made these delicious Carne Asada Tacos to pair with the margarita!
If I click my heels, can I transport myself to Puerto Vallarta and out of the snow?
Until I can be back on the beaches of Puerto Vallarta, I will be enjoying this delicious Mango Margarita at home! It's so easy to make and so good!
One of my favorite memories of Puerto Vallarta was a day I had the chance to feel like I was on the Bachelor or Bachelorette. Lol! We spent the day on a gorgeous luxury yacht cruising the Bay of Banderas.
A few of us laid out on the front of the yacht on this pillow cushion top paradise.ย The bartender onboard brought out mango margaritas made with fresh mangos, which were beyond delicious.
I might have gotten a bit sunburned that day since I was so relaxed living the yacht life I forgot to put more sunscreen on, but it was so worth it!
Doesn't this sunset make you want to book a flight to visit Puerto Vallarta ASAP? It is time to leave the snow and cold weather and head south to Mexico. It is currently 28 degrees in Spokane and 78 degrees in Puerto Vallarta.
We could meet for a Taco Tour with Vallarta Food Tours and eat through the city!
Shop along the Malecon and find all sorts of fantastic art and souvenirs.
Soak in all the Vitamin D and savor the tropical breezes as we walk off all the delicious food!
It is time to head south and soak in all that is Puerto Vallarta! Head over to Visit Puerto Vallarta to start planning your trip!
I will be looking up flights and trying to book a return trip to stay at Villa Premiere Boutique Hotelโoh, how I dream of their welcome massages, pillow menu, and seriously delicious food.

- OXO angled jiggers - these are our go-to measuring tools for cocktails. They work perfectly for pouring in layers for cocktails.

Did I mention the fresh warm churros.....

Preparation and Storage
Make Ahead + Storage: Did you know you can make margaritas up to three days beforehand? Refrigerate them in an airtight container to keep the mixture fresh.
Freezing/How to Freeze: Like our make-ahead-friendly Strawberry Margaritas, the alcohol in margaritas keeps them slushie-like without freezing them solid. Enjoy your frozen Mango Margaritas within two weeks, and always freeze them in an airtight, freezer-safe container. You can even stock them in single-serve containers; who doesnโt love pulling out a fresh margarita whenever they want?

Recipe Variations + Tips
Substitutions:ย
You can swap triple sec with Cointreau or Grand Marnier for frozen mango margaritas that pack a boozier, higher-ABV punch.
If you prefer a sweeter frozen fruity cocktail you can add in a bit of agave nectar or simple syrup.
Vegetarian + Vegan Option: Each of the four ingredients in this Frozen Mango Margarita recipe is vegetarian and vegan-friendly!
Gluten-Free: Similarly, the ingredients in this cocktail are naturally gluten-free, but check with the manufacturer of the mixers if you are highly sensitive since some processed ingredients may contain gluten-unsafe additives.
Alcohol-Free Option: Replace the tequila and triple sec with zero-proof alternatives for NA Frozen Mango Margaritas.
Make It Spicy: Depending on your spice tolerance, you can rim the margarita glass with salt, sugar, or dried pepper flakes.
Larger Group/More Servings: This blender margarita recipe is easy to prepare pitcher-style! Scale the written recipe to your desired yield and the container size you want to fill, keeping in mind that you may need to work in batches according to your blender capacity.
Sugar-Free: The written recipe contains 15 grams of sugar per serving, most of which comes from triple sec, so seek a sugar-free triple sec alternative to make it sugar-free.
