Ranch Pretzels Recipe
Ranch seasoning and pretzels combine to make the perfect easy to enjoy a snack!
I make cinnamon sugar pretzels to snack on all the time but wanted to make a savory pretzel that would be a fun switch from always having sweet pretzels.
We have a recipe for ranch oyster crackers which is epic but there is something about pretzels that just sounded amazing.
Ingredients
- Butter
- Mini Pretzels
- Ranch Seasoning salad dressing mix
We use original Hidden Valley Ranch Seasoning and love it. They also make a spicy ranch seasoning if you want to make these pretzels a bit spicier.
You can add in additional garlic powder or dill weed if you want a stronger flavor.
Equipment Needed
Baking Sheet - I like to use baking sheets with sides to keep the pretzels contained.
Parchment Paper - My husband teases me that I will find a way to use parchment paper for almost every recipe. I love that I can use parchment paper to help funnel these ranch pretzels into a container. They also make clean-up a breeze.
Microwave Cover - If you are like me and tend to end up with butter exploding all over your microwave I highly suggest these microwave-safe covers. I finally bought them this past year and they have saved me so much time not having to clean the microwave from butter explosions.

Recipe Tips
Don't forget to preheat the oven.
I like to mix a portion of the ranch dressing mix into the melted butter and then pour it over the pretzels. Once they are coated I use the remaining half of the pretzel mix and spread it over the pretzels. This helps get the mix covering as many pretzels as possible.
You can mix the pretzels in the baking pan or in a large mixing bowl. It really is up to you. I tend to do it in the baking pan so I don't have another dish to wash.
Make sure the butter mix has fully coated the pretzels. You will see butter mix in the bottom of the pan, just try to scoop as much of it onto the Hidden Valley Ranch Pretzels as you can.
When you mix the pretzels halfway through baking I highly suggest pulling the pan out of the oven and mixing them on the stovetop. I tend to end up mixing them so much that a few pretzels fly off and I don't want them getting stuck in the bottom of the oven.
Allow time for the pretzels to cool on the baking sheet. They will harden more as they cool and the ranch mix will stick to the pretzels better.
You can use any size bag of pretzels for this recipe. Just adapt the butter and ranch seasoning mix to fit.
Store the Ranch pretzels in an air-tight container.
