This year we are really focused on sharing super easy cookie recipes. This past year was a YEAR that we will never forget. I realized how important it is to have easy recipes made with basic pantry ingredients and simple ingredients.
There are days we want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen and then there are days we need a sweet dessert recipe that only takes minutes to prepare.
These cake mix cookies have the perfect strawberry flavor plus you can add in white chocolate chips, M&Ms, or sprinkles for even more fun flavors. We made Strawberry Lemonade Cookies as a fun twist on these cookies.
Ingredients
Eggs
Butter - We use unsalted butter when baking.
Add-ins - White Chocolate Chips, Valentine's Day M&Ms, Sprinkles
Tools Needed
Large Mixing Bowl - Make sure to use a bowl big enough to easily mix all of the ingredients and not have the fly over the sides.
Parchment Paper - Parchment paper makes these cookies really easy to remove from the baking sheet.
Ice Cream Scoop/Cookie Scoops - This is one of my favorite tools for getting even-sized cookies.
Baking Sheet/Cookie Sheet - These baking sheets work great for baking cookies and other desserts. I like that they have edges so I can't accidentally drop the cookies to the bottom of the oven.
Recipe Tips
Don't forget to preheat your oven to 350 degrees
If you want the chocolate chips or M&Ms to really pop on top of your cookies I highly suggest pushing them into the dough right before you bake the cookies. This will help them sit at the top of the cookies.
Make sure to use a prepared baking sheet with parchment paper to make it really easy to remove the cookies from the pan.
We use a cookie rack to cool completely these cookies before storing them.
If you have time you can chill the dough in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes so they retain their shape a bit more and do not spread out as much.
We highly suggest storing these Strawberry Cake Mix Cookies in an airtight container to help them stay fresh.
To make these even more amazing you can dip the edge in melted white chocolate and sprinkle a few red/pink sprinkles over them. They are really cute with heart sprinkles.
You can turn these into Strawberry Crinkle Cookies by rolling the dough in powdered sugar before baking. You can also roll the dough in regular sugar to add even more sweetness.
These cake mix strawberry cookies can be frozen for a few weeks in a freezer bag. Just make sure they are completely cooled before putting them in the freezer.
These pink cookies are great for a baby shower!
