Easy Red White and Blue Cake Mix Cookies perfect for Memorial Day, Fourth of July, or maybe the summer Olympics this year. I love making cake mix cookies and these were so fun to customize for the summer holidays.
Red White Blue Cake Mix Cookies
One of the best parts of cake mix cookies is how soft they are! Plus they only take 3 ingredients and some fun red white and blue sprinkles to make!
I am going to admit that I had a LOT of fun ordering fun 4th of July sprinkles. I am diving in deep to making all kinds of fun summer holiday desserts. Keep an eye out for a Red, White and Blue Poke Cake coming out in the next few days.
When I say I have been having fun with a ton of red white and blue recipes I really mean it. LOL!
Ingredients
- White Cake Mix
- Eggs
- Vegetable Oil
- Red White Blue Star Sprinkles
- Red White Blue Jimmie Sprinkles
Equipment Needed
Large Mixing Bowl - We are big fans of this glass batter bowl that has a handle. It makes it easy to mix ingredients and keep the mixing bowl steady on the counter.
Spatula/Wooden Spoon
Baking Sheets - We are huge fans of these baking sheets with sides. You don't have to worry; you will remove the cookies from the oven and have them slide right off.
Cookie Scoop - A cookie scoop makes it so easy to get consistent cookies that all look great together.
Recipe Tips
Don't forge to preheat the oven.
You can skip the sprinkles and use Red White and Blue M&M's to top these cookies. We like to top them with a variety of options.
We like to add red, white, and blue jimmies into the cookie dough so they bake inside of the cookies. To get really good sprinkle coverage you can roll the dough ball in a bowl filled with sprinkles.

The sprinkles will evenly spread out as the cake mix cookies bake creating amazing sprinkle coverage in every bite.
We will bake some cookies without sprinkles on them in case any guests want a plainer cookie. It is hard to not cover them all in sprinkles but just in case we leave a few plain.
You could easily divide the dough into 3 bowls and use red food coloring and blue food coloring in separate bowls to create a fun look when they are all mixed together. I would suggest wearing gloves so you don't dye your fingertips red or blue.

Red white and Blue Cake Mix Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 white cake mix
- 2 Eggs
- ⅓ Cup Vegetable Oil
- Red White and Blue Sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Combine Cake Mix, Eggs, and Vegetable Oil in a mixing bowl until well combined
- Add in ½ cup of red white and blue sprinkles and mix into the dough
- Use a cookie scoop to scoop dough onto a parchment lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes
