I never thought I would share this recipe on the site, but it is a new year, and I am stretching myself to share recipes even when the names are interesting.

Many famous shots and cocktails in the 1980s and 90s adopted shocking names. Although many cocktails now have new names, the classic names live on.

We have all heard about Sex on the Beach cocktails, Red-Headed Slut Shot, Slippery Nipple Shot, Drunk Gummy Bears, Between the Sheets, Harvey Wallbanger, and the Woo Woo.

While the names are interesting, many of these cocktail drinks taste good and are popular cocktails today.

What's in a Blowjob Shot

Blowjob Shot ingredients depend on who makes it and where you are enjoying the cocktail shot. You can make a Blowjob Shot with any two of the liquors listed below.

The classic shot uses Kahlua and Bailey's Irish Cream, but variations with Bailey's and Amaretto Liqueur are common.

2-ounce Shot Glass: When making a Blow Job shot, you want to make sure the shot glass is small enough that if you go old school and have people put their hands behind their back and tilting their head back to take the shot, they can control the glass.

How to Make a Blowjob Shot

I've included complete instructions in the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post, but here's a quick version.

Pour the Amaretto or Kahlúa into the bottom of the shot glass.

Layer the Irish Cream on top of the Amaretto or Kahlúa. Slowly pour over the back of a bar spoon to get an even layer. The goal is to slowly layer the Irish Cream onto the base so it doesn't mix.

Top with whipped cream to create a sweet and creamy shot.

Preparation and Storage

Make Ahead:

We suggest making it as you plan to drink it to get the entire presentation. You want to mix all the ingredients to get the full flavor and enjoy it in one go.

Recipe Variations

Substitutions:

We used Kahlúa and Baileys in this recipe, but you can use any coffee liqueur and Irish cream available at stores near you that you enjoy. We even have a homemade Irish cream if you want to go the DIY route for this ingredient.

Similarly, we use Disaronno Amaretto when making this cocktail shot with amaretto, but you can use any amaretto that you enjoy the taste of.

Vegetarian + Vegan Options:

The Blowjob Shot is vegetarian but not vegan, as Kahlúa and Baileys contain dairy. If you are vegan or are making it for vegan friends, replace Kahlúa and Baileys with plant-based substitutes.

Baileys has Baileys Almande, a dairy-free alternative made with vegan-friendly vanilla and almonds.

Gluten-Free:

Gluten-free drinkers should use a gluten-free alternative to Baileys, as Baileys does not guarantee that its products are gluten-free.

Kahlúa confirms in its FAQs that while it is not certified gluten-free, it does not use gluten-containing ingredients in making Kahlúa Original or its other flavors.

Amaretto is on Celiac.com’s list of gluten-free liqueurs.

Alcohol-Free Option:

Each ingredient in the Blowjob Shot is alcoholic, so replace each with an NA alternative to make it non-alcoholic.

Larger Group/More Servings:

You must make each Blowjob Shot individually to give everyone a perfectly layered shot. Plan extra time if you are making these shots for a party.

Sugar-Free:

The written recipe contains 9 grams of sugar per serving. Baileys Irish Cream, Amaretto, and Kahlúa do not have sugar-free alcoholic substitutes you can buy at the store.

We have seen sugar-free recipes online if you don’t want NA substitutes and are willing to make the ingredients.
