The competition is so great that you have to serve great food every day to make it. These French Quarter New Orleans Restaurants will make your taste buds sing with happiness!
French Quarter Restaurants - New Orleans
We tried a variety of restaurants and food during our stay. We stuck to restaurants in the French Quarter of New Orleans that were all within walking distance from our hotel.
We asked locals, visitors, and random people we met for their recommendation on restaurants to try out. We walked the streets and went to the restaurants that drew us in with the scent of their food or the look of the restaurant.
These are the restaurants in the French Quarter that we really enjoyed!
Chartres House Restaurant
We visited Chartres House for lunch on a Monday in New Orleans which meant Red Beans and Rice! Mondays are famous in New Orleans for Red Beans and Rice! The lunch at Chartres House was fantastic! From the cocktails to the entrees everything was perfectly cooked and delicious.
Our waitress was hilarious and had us giggling during our entire lunch. The restaurant opens up to the street so you can people watch and enjoy the views of the French Quarter.
Address - 601 Chartres St
Crescent City Brewhouse
Crescent City Brewhouse is located right near Jackson Square. After wandering the city all day we were looking for a nice dinner that included local cocktails and a beer for John. Crescent City Brewhouse did not disappoint. The brewhouse has a fun eclectic decor with cool art all over the wall. The fruit and cheese platter was delish! The beer-soaked apples were worthy of their own plate! So dang delicious!

Johnny's Po'Boys
Johnny's Po'Boys is so worth a visit during any trip to New Orleans. You can get everything from alligator, crawfish, and catfish to a B.L.T. or Cheese Burger on a Po-Boy. The restaurant is cash only so come prepared. Prices range from $2-$11 depending on what you order. You can get a breakfast biscuit for as low as $2.75. Be prepared for there to be a line out the door at lunchtime. Yes, it is that good and worth the wait. This is just plain delicious food that is pure New Orleans.

Tableau
Tableau offers foodie food that is well worth the visit! Located on Jackson Square attached to the Le Petit Theatre.

Cafe Du Monde
No trip to New Orleans would be complete without at least one visit to Cafe Du Monde. Ok, maybe a few visits just to make sure you get to enjoy enough Beignets that the memories last until your next trip to New Orleans.

The only one of these I've been to so far is Cafe du Monde. I'm totally missing out! I try to go to new spots every time I visit though.

We could take the Jag on a tour of New Orleans...I am sure they wouldn't mind a bit of sugar from the beignets all over the inside. 🙂

Yes - Cafe du Monde! Their beignets are amazing! We went to New Orleans when I was a teen (over 30 years ago) and I still remember their taste.

Cafe du Monde was so good the one time that I ate there. I would love to go back to New Orleans and try some more food sometime.
