During our trip to Bali, we asked our driver to stop at the Starbucks in Ubud Bali. We wanted to pick up a Starbucks mug and get our coffee fix. We had quite an unexpected surprise when we walked up to Starbucks. Right behind Starbucks is one of the most beautiful temples we saw during our entire trip to Bali.
Starbucks in Ubud Bali
Saraswati Temple
The Saraswati Temple is surrounded by gorgeous Lotus flowers. There is a café next to Starbucks called the Lotus Café which is the reason for all of the amazing Lotus flowers.
This was the first time we have seen Lotus Flowers and they are breathtaking.
Oh, and in case you were wondering the Starbucks in Ubud Bali offers most of the drinks we are used to seeing in the United States. The Chai Tea is made with a teabag and they said it is not quite like what we get in the US.
They also have a great selection of Starbucks mugs and even Starbucks cloth bags. There is a large seating area with free wi-fi available. This is a great place to relax and catch up on a few emails with a lovely cup of coffee.

We were in Ubud for a few days and were just amazed by the amount of temples around every corner. They're all so intricate and fascinating. This one is beautiful. Makes me sad that we missed it.

I hope to travel overseas one day. I have heard AMAZING things about BAli. Those photos are beautiful. I can't believe there is a Starbucks there. They are truly taking over the world!

How stinking awesome! I am so jealous of all your travels. I would love to check out all the starbucks all around the world. I am already an addict enough! Love all those pictures, I hope you frame the lotus one.

Don't you love that! When you are just going for the ordinary and you stumble on something absolutely exquisite! How perfect that a Starbucks run turned into lotus flowers and a beautiful temple! Love this story!

WOW! I've never seen lotus flowers! They are stunning! And there's actually a Starbucks in Bali? That's nuts!

I love Starbucks. They do not have one in my town. I must travel an hour or so. If I want a Starbucks served hot. Otherwise I buy an Iced Starbucks coffee from the local gas station or grocery store.

Having coffee in that beautiful place is definitely heaven. I have seen Lotus flowers, but I have never been this close. I just love the macro shot you did in the first photo. Its gorgeous!

Starbucks might be everywhere, but I like that they offer drinks from that particular place. You get to taste the country's famous tea or coffee if you don't feel like having what you usually have in the US. The Lotus flowers in the first photo is stunning!

I am not a coffee drinker but I do love their Fraps and if I go to one I do not see anything nice behind it like this. Beautiful that you can find a hidden Gem in one of the best brands out there.

What a beautiful surprise! The temples were one of my sights in Thailand. I was married last September in Gibraltar and we still haven't taken a honeymoon... Bali is on our short list and everytime I see photos, it gets moved up the list : -)

please forgive my being naive, but I would not have thought Starbucks and Bali would go together in the same place or the same sentence. It looks to be a very relaxing place to have coffee! While I am not a big fan of the chain, I have many friends in the States who get very excited in having coffee at their local chain daily!

During my travels, I stop through Starbucks as well.
There's a little girl that does it too, I forgot the name of her blog, but she had tons of pictures of travels to Starbucks.
I think I would have been in the location far too long. Having my favorite coffee blend, White Chocolate Mocha, with the gem that you found, that's what makes travel fantastic.
