Optional - If you want a bit of extra flavor you can sprinkle the chicken pieces with garlic powder.
Equipment Needed
Tongs - I find that using a small pair of tongs makes it so much easier to remove the popcorn chicken in the air fryer. Protect your fingers and make sure you use something to pull them out.
Kitchen Thermometer - You can use a kitchen thermometer to make sure the internal temp of the chicken is correct.
Recipe Tips
We do not pre-heat our air fryer for this recipe.
Make sure the chicken is evenly spread out in a single layer in the air fryer to make sure the hot air can fully circulate around the chicken.
Cooking time can vary depending on your air fryer. Make sure to check the 1st batch of popcorn chicken until you know how your air fryer cooks.
We do not spray the chicken or air fryer with any olive oil or cooking spray. Just spread the frozen popcorn chicken in the air fryer and close the air fryer basket.
There is no need to defrost or warm the chicken before cooking it.

Ingredients
- 1 pound Frozen Popcorn Chicken
Instructions
- Spread frozen popcorn chicken in a single even layer in the air fryer with space between them.
- Air Fry at 400 degrees for 5 minutes, shake the basket to rotate the chicken, air fry for an additional 5 minutes
- For extra crispy popcorn chicken air fry for an additional minute or 2.
