The Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids, Michigan is part of the Curio Collection by Hilton. Located in Downtown Grand Rapids the Amway Grand Plaza is the perfect luxury hotel to stay in while visiting this Western Michigan City.
Amway Grand Plaza
The Amway Grand Plaza has 681 guest rooms with many of them offering amazing views of the Grand River. We had the opportunity to stay on the 20th floor and our corner room had a great view of the Gerald R. Ford Museum and the Grand Rapids Public Museum.
River View Room Photos and Review
Our Grand river view room was located on the 20th floor and offered a beautiful view over West Grand Rapids. Our room included a king-sized bed, writing desk attached to a dresser/tv stand. There is a small safe located in one of the drawers of the dresser. A small refrigerator perfect for keeping a local Grand Rapids beer cool is located in another dresser hidden behind what looks to be dresser drawers. The room has a closet, look for the coffee maker in the closet. One comfortable side chair and side table perfect for relaxing in while watching the day start out the window.
The bathroom included really nice G&H Nourish toiletries exclusively from Amway. There was shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and body wash in the room when we arrived. I have to say I would order the shampoo and conditioner my hair loved it so much.
I have to tell you that the bed was so comfortable that we slept 12 hours the first night we stayed in the hotel. The combination of traveling all day and being exhausted plus a super comfy bed made for amazing night sleep. We both woke up so refreshed and excited to explore Grand Rapids.
Our room was really quiet during our stay. Every once in a while you could hear a bit of city noise but for the most part, it was really quiet even being able to see the freeway from the room.
The desk was great for working/writing when we were in the room. I did get a bit distracted by the amazing view over the Grand River and city but that wasn't really a bad thing.
