Boozy Grinch Drink
We had the chance to experience the Reno Santa Pub Crawl a couple of weeks ago and you guys it was amazing!!!
A few years ago I saw Reno-Tahoe Visitor Bureau post a pic from the Santa Pub Crawl and at that moment I knew it was something I had to experience.
When we started talking with Reno-Tahoe about coming down to work with them again I knew we had to make the Santa Pub Crawl happen. I mean how can you go wrong when you get to dress up in your Santa finery and celebrate the holidays with hundreds/thousands of new friends.
I found a Santa Kitten Dress that I paired with a Mrs. Claus Cape and Santa Kitten Hat. It was so much fun dressing up and seeing all of the other costumes.
Now I need to find all the reasons to wear this Santa Kitten Dress. I mean it is so cute I am sure it is appropriate for every holiday event until next year.
One of the cool things about the Santa Pub Crawl is you buy a cup that works as your "ticket" to the event. All of the proceeds from the cups go to local schools.
With your cup, you get discounts and participating Reno Bars who create fun holiday cocktails. We loved seeing so many fun holiday drinks that we had to make one ourselves.
This Boozy Grinch Cocktail is our interpretation of a couple of the Christmas cocktails that were offered at the pub crawl.
I wanted to make something that was either a red cocktail or a green cocktail. Totally holiday-themed to the point you can't miss that it is for Christmas though honestly you could name this a leprechaun cocktail and use it for St. Patrick's day and no one would know it was originally a Christmas drink. LOL
What you will need to make this Boozy Grinch Drink
- Midori Melon Liqueur
- Pineapple Juice
- Maraschino Cherries
This can also be made with Sprite/7-Up if you want a bubblier drink.
Ice
Red sugar to rim the glass
Martini Glasses - I like martini glasses with a stem I think they look great and make it easy to hold your drink without warming it up with your hand. Stemless Martini Glasses are super popular because they are harder to break and easier to set down. It is really up to you which one you use for the recipe.
Cocktail Shaker - A cocktail shaker lets you combine the pineapple juice and Midori with ice so the drink is cold but not watered down when you serve it.
