Crock Pot Apple Raisin French Toast Recipe

This slow cooker breakfast recipe is perfect for setting up before you go to bed and waking up to breakfast ready to go! We all have those mornings that the idea of making breakfast is painful! Take the pain out of the day by setting this up the night before and waking up to a delicious home-made breakfast.
Ingredients needed

Non-stick cooking spray
Parchment paper or slow cooker liners
Large bowl.
Slow cooker -ย We use either the Hamilton Beach Set 'n Forget Programmable Slow Cooker, 6-Quart or Crock-Pot 5-Quart Slow Cooker for all of our crockpot recipes

Crock Pot Apple Raisin French Toast Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 small French loaf about 9 โ 10 oz
- 1 C Cashew Milk
- 1 C Heavy Whipping Cream
- 3 Eggs
- ยผ C Brown Sugar
- 1 Apple cored and chopped
- 1 C Raisins
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 2 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
Instructions
- Spray the slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray
- Then line the slow cooker with parchment paper
- Tear the bread into large bite size pieces and place in a large bowl.
- In another bowl, combine eggs, milk, cream, brown sugar, vanilla and cinnamon.
- Mix very well until everything is incorporated.
- Add the raisins and apple to the bread and pour the egg mixture slowly over the bread being sure to coat as many pieces as possible with the egg mixture.
- When done pouring, take a big spoon and fold over the bread many times to help soak up the egg.
- Pour into the slow cooker and cook on low for 6 โ 7 hours. (Best if you can turn it on before you go to bed). Will keep on warm setting nicely.
