Ingredients
- Baby carrots
- Orange juice
- Brown sugar
- Butter
- Orange zest
- Ground cinnamon
- Vanilla extract
- Salt
- Cornstarch
Optional Garnish - fresh thyme, fresh parsley
The carrots are cooked as they soak in the melted butter, cinnamon, orange juice glaze. These slow cooker glazed carrots can be made with a bag of baby carrots or you can use sliced carrots.
I normally pick the baby-sized carrots in a bag because they are easy and you can skip the step of having to slice the carrots.
Equipment Needed
Crockpot - We suggest using a crockpot that has a digital timer that automatically switches the slow cooker to warm after a set amount of time. This helps make sure your dinner cooks perfectly and you don't have to stress about what time it is going to be done.
Spider Strainer - I love using a spider strainer to easily drain the crock pot carrots and move them to a serving bowl.
Recipe Tips
Cook the carrots until they are tender, stir before serving to distribute the glaze.
Store any leftover carrots in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
