I can't believe it is only a few days until Easter!ย ย Today we are sharing these super cute and oh so easy Easter Chick Cupcakes! They are the perfect addition to an Easter dessert table.
Easter Chick Cupcakes
Ingredients needed to make Easter Chick Cupcakes
1 Box Cake Mix
Butter Cream Frosting
Yellow Sugar Sprinkles
Chocolate Chips
Easy Butter Cream Frosting Recipe
Ingredients needed for Butter Cream Frostingย
5 tablespoonsย salted butter
5 ย tablespoonsย shortening
ยพ teaspoonย vanilla extract
2 cupsย confectioners' sugar
2 tablespoonsย milk
How to make Butter Cream Frosting
1. Beat butter and shortening together with an electric mixer in a large bowl until light and fluffy. The mixture should be noticeably lighter in color.
2. Beat the vanilla extract into the butter mixture. Add sugar, one cup at a time, beating on medium speed until fully incorporated.
3. Add milk, one tablespoon at a time, beating on high until fully incorporated and you have frosting.
How to make Easter Chick Cupcakes
1. Prepare Cupcakes according to box cake mix instructions
2. Using the Buttercream frosting recipe dye your frosting with yellow food coloring until you reach the desired color.ย Save a small amount and dye that a bright orange.
3. Frost the entire cupcake with yellow frosting, and dip into yellow sugar sprinkles.ย Add chocolate chips to make the eyes.ย You can also add a dab of white frosting to make the eyeball detail.
4. Using a rosette-frosting tip make โchick wingsโ on the sides and then sprinkle a small amount of the yellow sugar sprinkles on top.ย Then use a small amount of your orange frosting to make a beak and feet for your chick.
