This electric blue lemonade cocktail is the perfect easy blue cocktail. All you need is a few ingredients and three minutes to pour this fabulous party cocktail that guests will love.

Ingredients

• Vodka or Citron Vodka
• Blue Curaçao
• Lemonade
• Sprite 

Optional Garnishes: Lemon Wedge/Slice, lemon wheel or Lime Wheel/Wedge

How to Make Electric Lemonade

I've included complete instructions in the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post, but here's a quick version.

1. Combine vodka, blue curacao, and lemonade in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake and strain into a glass filled with ice.
2. Add Sprite to fill the glass.
3. Garnish with a lemon and lime slice.

Preparation and Storage

Make Ahead: You can make this cocktail without the Sprite up to three days beforehand. Finish it with Sprite before serving so you get a fizzy drink.

Storage: Store the drink mixture without Sprite in an airtight container in the fridge.

Substitutions:

You can also use white rum instead of vodka if you prefer the taste. Feel free to lower the vodka used if you want a lighter drink.

If you don't have Sprite, you can use sparkling water like LaCroix in a citrus flavor. You can use club soda but it will not have the sweet lemon lime flavor of Sprite. 

Vegetarian Option: This pretty blue cocktail is 100 percent vegetarian!

Vegan Option: Look for vegan blue curaçao to avoid cross-contamination with animal-derived ingredients.

Gluten-Free: Look for gluten-free labels on the blue curaçao to avoid cross-contamination with gluten-containing ingredients and ensure this cocktail is safe for a gluten-free diet.

Alcohol-Free Option: Replace the blue curaçao and vodka with NA alternatives to make Electric Lemonade Mocktails.

Larger Group/More Servings:

Multiply this recipe by 6 to 8 times for enough to fill a pitcher or add it to a punch bowl.

Add ice, lemon, and lime slices to the pitcher, then add vodka, blue curaçao and lemonade. Let guests finish their drinks with Sprite, so everyone gets a fizzy cocktail.

Sugar-Free: The written recipe contains 12 grams of sugar per serving. Replace the blue curaçao, lemonade, and Sprite with sugar-free substitutes to make this cocktail sugar-free.

• You can change how potent this cocktail is by lowering the amount of vodka used.
