Rum and Sprite Cocktail Recipe
We normally use Rum in tropical alcoholic drinks but realized that it mixes great with Sprite. The lemon-lime flavor with the rich flavor of rum is fantastic.
The most popular rum cocktails include Daiquiri, Mai Tai, Pina Colada, raspberry mojito, Dark 'n Stormy, Jungle Bird, Dark Mojito, Coquito, the Painkiller, and of course Hot Buttered Rum.
Each of these cocktails tastes amazing and is a fantastic way to mix with Rum. We also wanted to share a simple two-ingredient rum cocktail for the nights you don't want to take the time to mix a multi-step cocktail.
Ingredients
This is a quick overview of the simple ingredients that you'll need to make an epic Rum & Sprite Cocktail! Specific measurements and step-by-step instructions are included in the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post.

- Sprite
Garnish - Lime Wedge/lime slice or lemon wedge depending on your preference. You can jazz it up and use any fresh fruit as a garnish. Float frozen raspberries in it for a fun twist.
Rum - We suggest using white rum, but you can change the flavor by using dark rum, flavored rum, or Spiced rum and Sprite.
Coconut rum and Sprite is amazing. You could also mix it with peach rum or any fruity type of rum.
Sprite - You can use regular Sprite, Sprite zero, or any variation and flavor of Sprite you enjoy.
Equipment Needed
Rocks Glass - Rocks glasses are also called lowball glasses or old-fashioned glasses, highball glass.
Bartending Spoon - The long handle on bartending spoons makes it really easy to stir the cocktails and not make a mess.
OXO angled jiggers - these are our go-to measuring tools for cocktails. They work perfectly for pouring in layers for cocktails.
Ice Cube maker - This ice cube maker produces the most amazing cubes of ice perfect for cocktails. It easily fits in the freezer, and you can make up to 3 trays of round ball ice at a time.

Storage โ This is a cocktail that is hard to store due to the carbonation in the Sprite.

Recipe Tips
You can adjust the amount of rum in your cocktail based on taste and how strong you want the drink to be.
There is no need to use a cocktail shaker with Sprite. Shaking the Sprite will cause a bubbly mess.
Soda is a great mixer for cocktails. We love mixing with Coke, Pepsi, ginger beer, root beer, cream soda, and other flavors of soda pop.
