One of our favorite things about visiting Las Vegas is getting to enjoy unique activities that are only available in Vegas. The saying "what happens here, only happens here" is true for so many of these fun, unique things to do.

We have been visiting Las Vegas for years. The city has changed and grown a ton over the past 20 years, but it always holds onto creating moments that are uniquely Vegas.

There are so many fun attractions for visitors and locals to experience in town and on day trips. Kids and adults will enjoy the new attractions and shows. Las Vegas isn't just about the opportunity to gamble. There are family-friendly entertainment, unique shows, thrill rides, and so much more.

Here is our list of Unique Things to do in Las Vegas!

Green and purple fields in the background with the Flyover movie experience people sitting in seats over the screen

    Flyover Las Vegas

I had the opportunity to see all of the Flyover Las Vegas movies and they were unbelievable. I went in wondering what the experience was going to be like and left the first movie super excited to see the next one.

Flyover Las Vegas is a state-of-the-art movie and ride experience. Once you sit down and buckle into the ride the most amazing unique experience begins.

The ride rises up and you are flying through the air. It feels like you are soaring through the clouds with mist on your face and smelling the freshly cut wheat from the Palouse in Washington.

I have to send a huge thank you to Flyover for sponsoring my last trip to Las Vegas. It was so much fun and I can't wait to see other Flyover movies.

Plane with smoke trail flying over the American West. Feet in Birkenstock sandal at the bottom of the screen

    Wonders of the American West

We watched Wonders of the American West 1st and it blew my mind. It felt like we were revisiting some of my favorite national park trips and destinations along the west coast.

I am pretty sure I gasped in joy when I saw Yellowstone and cruised the coasts of Washington and California. I forgot I was on the Las Vegas Strip and found myself completely immersed in a new view of some of my favorite destinations.

You can see my feet in the bottom of the photo above with the plane flying over the American West. I took this pic to give a perspective of how it feels to watch a FlyOver movie. It is immersive and amazing.

Book tickets now to see the Grand Canyon, Lake Tahoe, Zion National Park, the Mojave Dessert, and so many epic west coast destinations from a new perspective.

Windborne: Call of the Canadian Rockies

Windborne Call of the Canadian Rockies takes you on an epic adventure through the mountain tops of Canada.

After seeing Windborne I was ready to book a trip to Banff and explore all that we could in the Canadian Rockies. WOW! This immersive experience takes you away from the hustle and bustle of the Vegas Strip and makes you feel like you are deep in the Rockies.

    Legendary Iceland: Landscapes & Lore

If you have ever been to Iceland or dreamed of visiting this experience transports you all over the island. It feels like you are on vacation again seeing the country from a whole new perspective.

This experience starts with a visit from Icelandic trolls who share with you their stories. Once you hear this Icelandic lore you walk into the theater to immerse yourself in sweeping glaciers, ancient mysteries, and unbelievable views.

It could be 100+ degrees on the Vegas Strip and you won't believe it as you fly over the majestic island of Iceland and feel the cool breeze off the glaciers.

    The Lost Cactus Bar

After enjoying a flight or two with Flyover we highly suggest planning time to enjoy The Lost Cactus Bar. They serve incredible unique cocktails themed to each of the Flyover movies.

This is the first time I have had a cocktail served with a bubble filled with smoke and I really hope it is not the last.

The bartenders at The Lost Cactus Bar serve up a cocktail experience that is fun and great for Vegas photos.

Pictured above is the Iceland's Fire and Ice Cocktail which was created to remind you of the magic of the Northern Lights and the smoky mystery of Iceland's iconic volcanos.

I also suggest trying the Sin City Cocktail (because Vegas), Desert Sunset, and the delicious Prickly Pear Margarita.

    They also have great mocktails.

Nathan Burgon holding a woman above the stage with magic over a cart

    Nathan Burton Magic Show

Located in the theater next to Flyover is the amazing Nathan Burton Magic Show. I saw him perform years ago and was so excited to go back and see his current show.

I am going to admit I still don't understand how he does 99.9% of his tricks. This show is the perfect family friendly magic show during the day.

It is great for all ages and everyone will gasp in awe at the magic that is performed right in front of you. Even 20 feet away I couldn't figure out how they managed to make things disappear and re-appear.

Shark in an aquarium with other fish and coral

Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bar

Take a walk on the wild side at the Shark Reef Aquarium in Mandalay Bay. This unique aquarium includes more than 2,000 animals from sharks to turtles and so many more.

This is the perfect activity on a hot summer day in Vegas. The aquarium is cool not only in temperature but in the experiences you get to have.

I highly suggest planning time to just sit and watch the sharks go by in the large aquarium. It is mesmerizing watching them slowly swim by.

    Dinner at SuperFrico Las Vegas

We are huge fans of the show Absinthe by Spiegelworld. Imagine our joy when we had the opportunity to dine at SuperFrico at The Cosmopolitan.

This is a unique dining experience in Vegas that I need you to experience. It is perfect for anyone who loves impromptu amusements that make you wonder what you are watching.

I don't want to give it all away but I will say choose who you dine with carefully. Make sure you have the same tolerance level for Vegas amusement and escapades.

Also make sure to go hungry! The food tastes amazing and the drinks are delicious.

Elvis Wedding Las Vegas Vow Renewals

My husband had always talked about renewing our wedding vows with Elvis in Las Vegas. Every anniversary he would bring up how fun it would be.

I decided to surprise him not on our anniversary but during a random business trip to Vegas with an Elvis Wedding Renewal Ceremony and it was hilarious, amazing, and so much fun.

When it comes to live entertainment it doesn't get more entertaining than a Vegas Elvis impersonator crooning while you renew your vows.

Each show is 6 to 8 minutes long and featured 3D graphical interpretations of top songs. It is a site that you don't want to miss.

You may hear Fremont Street called Downtown Las Vegas by guests and visitors.

    Cirque du Soleil Show

There are multiple Cirque du Soleil Shows playing on the Vegas Strip daily. These range from "O" playing at the Bellagio to Michael Jackson ONE playing at Mandalay Bay.

The Cirque du Soleil acrobats put on a show that is awe-inspiring. It is insanity in art and acrobatics.
