My dear and amazing husband loves Chicken and Dumplings! When I told him, I was going to make Crockpot Chicken and Dumplings he was a bit worried and not sure how they were going to turn out! Well, I am oh so happy to say he loved them! Went back for seconds and told me how amazing they were!

- Cream of Chicken Soup
- Chicken Broth
- Celery
- Potatoes
- Onion
- Bisquick mix
- Butter

- Pepper

CrockPot Chicken and Dumplings Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 Chicken thighs bone in
- 4 Chicken legs bone in
- 10.5 oz Cream of Chicken Soup
- 2 C Chicken Broth
- 2 ribs Celery
- 3 Potatoes peeled and chopped into bite size pieces
- ยฝ Onion medium
- 7.5 oz Bisquick Baking Mix
- 2 Tablespoon Butter
- Salt
- Black Pepper
- Sage Spice
Instructions
- Season the chicken on both sides with salt, pepper and sage
- Combine the potatoes, celery, onion, and carrots in the slow cooker and then rest the chicken on top. Add 1 cup of chicken broth and cook on low for 5 hours.
- After 5 hours, remove the chicken and cool till you can handle touching it. Separate the skin, cartilage and bone from the meat and set aside.
- Combine the can of soup and the remaining one cup of broth together until smooth and add it to the slow cooker along with the reserved chicken and mix well.
- Prepare the Bisquick mix according to the package directions. After prepared, separate the dough into 5 portions and drop into the slow cooker gently, so they stay on top.
- Mix the butter and sage together and gently brush the mixture over the biscuits.
- Replace the lid and cook for another 1.5 โ 2 hours or until the biscuits are cooked.

Could you please give the serving size and number of servings for your recipes? I love to find all kinds of recipes, especially the one pot variety. My son and I are both diabetic and need to watch portions to figure carbohydrate count.

Thank You for the recipe, hubby loves chicken and dumplings. I just can't seem to make them right. Never thought of doing them in a crock pot. I will giving this a try in crock pot. This is one of his favorite comfort foods, when my MIL visits that is what she makes for dinner for the family reunions.

Hi Tammilee. I have been cooking for more than 60 years. What on earth is Zaycon chicken? The recipe sounds excellent for Chicken and dumplings. Different from mine. I always like to try something new. Crock pots are the greatest invention since the spyder.
